Notice of Disciplinary Action Notice of Disciplinary Action Notice of Disciplinary Action Dec. 9, 2016 At a consultation held in September, a Hearing Board comprising of three ASME past presidents found a part infringing upon the Society's Code of Ethics of Engineers. It was resolved that the part damaged the order that individuals keep away from the presence of irreconcilable situations. The Hearing Board found that the part had abused ASME Society Policy P-15.8, Appendix B (ASME Conflicts Policy for Financial Matters with explicit reference to the meaning of Secured Arrangement contained in Section 2(d)(ii)) and Fundamental Canon 4 (Engineers will act in proficient issues for every business or customer as loyal operators or trustees, and will stay away from irreconcilable circumstances or the presence of irreconcilable circumstances). The Hearing Board's suggestion was considered by the Board of Governors in November, and the Board supported the discoveries of the Hearing Board and gave a letter of reproach to the part.
